Petit Vour January 2015 Subscription Box Detail Card

The box comes with a card detailing all of the included products, as well as tips on how to use them.

Petit Vour January 2015 Subscription Box 100 Pure Hand Buttercream

Product: 100% Pure French Lavender Hand Buttercream
Retail Value: $8.00 (Full Size)

This is a buttercream that moisturizes, softens, and nourishes your skin with vitamins and antioxidants. It’s rich without being greasy, and made with all natural and organic ingredients. I like to use organic products whenever possible, so I’m glad to try this hand cream. I’m probably one of the few that isn’t a fan of lavender scent because it reminds me of generic bathroom soaps. The fragrance of this cream is a bit concentrated, but it’s not too overwhelming if you don’t use too much. Due to its thickness, a little goes a long way.

Petit Vour January 2015 Subscription Box EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-in Conditioner

Product: EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-In Conditioner (2.5 oz)
Retail Value: $7.65

The EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-In Conditioner is best applied to damp hair but can also be used on dry hair to refresh your locks. I tested it out on my hair after it was towel dried. The scent is pleasant and light. It definitely did its job, and it also seemed to help with some frizziness. I don’t normally use leave-in conditioner, but so far I like this product and will evaluate if I want to continue after I finish the sample.

Modern Minerals En Pointe Eyeshadow

Product: Modern Minerals En Pointe Eyeshadow
Retail Value: $12.50 (Full Size)

The rose shimmer shade of this Modern Minerals En Point Eyeshadow is made exclusively for Petit Vour subscribers. I usually like to use a pinkish brown color eyeshadow, so this shade works out well for me.

Rawskinceuticals Rose Creme Cheek Color

Product: Rawskinceuticals Rose Creme Cheek Color
Retail Value: $15.00 (Full Size)

The rose creme blush from Rawskinceuticals is composed of all natural or organic ingredients. It is also free of micas, silicas, and talc. I was very excited to try out this product. Unfortunately, the lid on the container was not closed properly during the packaging process, and the creme is all dried up. I reached out to Petit Vour, and received a response after 3 days. They informed me that although dry, it can still be used. However, they are out of samples for a replacement, so they will credit my account with 50 PV points. Knowing that their point system is slow to update, I waited almost two weeks before reaching out again when I did not see the points in my account. This time, their customers service responded right away and added the points they had promised.

ProductsRetail Value
100% Pure French Lavender Hand Buttercream (Full Size) $8.00
EVOLVh SmartStart Leave-In Conditioner (2.5 oz) $7.65
Modern Minerals En Pointe Eyeshadow (Full Size) $12.50
Rawskinceuticals Rose Creme Cheek Color (Full Size) $15.00
Total $43.15

Final Thoughts: Petit Vour is one of my favorite beauty subscription boxes. I feel that they are more focused on quality instead of quantity. I like that all products included are cruelty-free, vegan, all natural, and mostly organic. The total box value is $43.15, which is great for a $15 subscription. In addition, 3 out of the 4 items are full-sized products! Sadly, my Rawskinceuticals Rose Creme Cheek Color was dried up upon arrival, but I’ll see if I can still get some uses out of it. Aside from the product issue I experienced, Petit Vour did a great job curating the January 2015 box with a good balance of haircare, skincare, and makeup products.
