Boxycharm Subscription Box Review - July 2015

The July Boxycharm theme is "Summertime Radness," which is inspired by the summer season. For $21 a month, Boxycharm has incredible value. The majority of the products included are full-size. I can really appreciate that because I get tired of receiving tiny samples that doesn't really show how effective the product is. It's hard to determine whether I want to buy more of an item when the sample only lasts for a one-time use.

In addition, Boxycharm also features mid to high end brands. When it comes to stuff going onto my skin, I prefer not to use dollar store items. Boxycharm does a great job at curating products each month. From what I’ve been receiving so far, the retail value of each box has been 5x the amount I paid.

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - Detail Card

The box comes with a card detailing all of the items, prices, and instructions on how to use them.

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - MDMflow Greater Than Mascara

Product: MDMflow Greater Than Mascara
Retail Value: $35.00 (Full Size)

This mascara cost 21 pounds. It is actually being introduced to the US through Boxycharm, and is available for purchase for $35.00. The MDMflow mascara is described as "the most intense, highly pigmented XXL black, volumizing mascara with an easy off formulation." I don't feel like it's super intense, but I do love how smoothly it applies and not a single clump!

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - Vasanti Professional Blush Brush

Product: Vasanti Professional Blush Brush
Retail Value: $22.00 (Full Size)

The price listed on the card is actually 29 CAD, so I converted it to USD. This blush brush is well made, soft and passed my tugging test. It also provides very even coverage.

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder

Product: yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder
Retail Value: $26.00 (Medium Full Size)

There is 4 grams of powder, which is considered the Medium size container. This is a setting powder that's transparent, lightweight, and helps to reduce fine lines and pores. It applies smoothly and works well.

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - gorge I'll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray

Product: gorge I'll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray
Retail Value: $29.95 (Full Size)

I received this hair spray from another subscription box. While it works, I didn't see any amazing results. If you like this spray though, you can get it as a subscription from the manufacture, which saves you $5 a bottle.

Boxometry Boxycharm July 2015 Review - OFRA Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil

Product: OFRA Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil
Retail Value: $13.00 (Full Size)

I prefer to use a brush or mascara applicator to apply eyebrow shades. However, if you like more precise lines, I think eyebrow pencil works well. The OFRA universal eyebrow pencil is water resistant and made to suit all skin tones. I believe there's only one shade, so everyone received the same version.

ProductsRetail Value
MDMflow Greater Than Mascara (Full Size) $35.00
Vasanti Professional Blush Brush (Full Size) $22.00
yourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder (Medium Full Size) $26.00
gorge I'll Make You Look Amazing Daily Spray (Full Size) $29.95
OFRA Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow Pencil (Full Size) $13.00
Total $125.95

Final Thoughts: Boxycharm continues to deliver incredible value through their monthly boxes. There are a couple of brands that are new to me (MDMflow, Vasanti and yourMinerals), so I am pretty excited to see how they work out for me long term. I appreciate that everything is full-size!
