Loot Crate December 2014 Box

Loot Crate December 2014 Mini Magazine

The box comes with December 2014 Issue 17 mini magazine featuring an interview with Stan Lee, as well as details about each of the items included in the box. In addition, there's a collectible Loot Crate pin.

POP Vinyl Joker Batman

Product: Exclusive The Joker-Batman Batman POP! Vinyl Figure (Funko)
Retail Value: $11.99

December marks Batman's 75th birthday. This Joker-Batman Batman is a limited edition figure made exclusively for Loot Crate. It's a great addition to anyone collecting Funko POP! Vinyl figures or fan of the series. Please note that the value is an estimate based on the regular retail price. This figure may sell for more since it is an exclusive limited release product.

Simpsons Cast Mighty Wallet

Simpsons Cast Mighty Wallet Inside

Product: Men's Simpsons Cast Mighty Wallet (DynoMighty)
Retail Value: $14.99

It's been 25 years since The Simpsons aired on TV. The wallet features the Simpsons cast on the front and back. It is made out of paper that's both tear and water resistant. It's thin and would not be too bulky in pant pockets, which is pretty convenient for most guys.

Baby Groot Socks Front

Baby Groot Socks Back

Product: Exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Dancing Groot Crew Socks (HYP Hosiery)
Retail Value: $9.99

The Dancing Baby Groot crew socks is an exclusive product celebrating Marvel's 75th anniversary. It even says "I am Groot" on the bottom. We actually watched Guardians of the Galaxy at home right before we received this box, so we are pretty excited about this item. The socks fits men's shoe sizes 9-12. It'll fit hubby's feet, unless I can shrink it to fit size 6!

Ghostbuster Door Hanger

Product: Exclusive Ghostbusters Door Hanger (Quantum Mechanix)
Retail Value: $1.00

It's been 30 years for Ghostbusters and this door hanger is a bit disappointing. It is one of the franchise that was hinted before the box was shipped, so I was expecting a better item (at least hoping). The door hanger is double sided, and made to be durable and water resistant. However, I am not sure what to do with it since we already have a hand embroidered door hanger.

Tetris Sticker

Product: Tetris Sticker Set (Paladone)
Retail Value: $7.99

This item represents the video game's 30th anniversary. I've always been a bit of a Tetris addict, and I can play it for hours (when I used to have time). This sticker set includes 147 Tetrimino shaped puffy stickers. I think it's pretty awesome since you can get very creative with them.

Captain America Air Freshener

Product: Captain America Air Freshener (PlastiColor)
Retail Value: $2.69

Celebrating Marvel's 75th anniversary, this air freshener is both functional and decorative. It will be going into the baby shuttle, aka, family van.

Loot Crate December 2014 Batman Comic

Product: Batman Endgame #36 (DC Comics, Exclusive Variant Cover)
Retail Value: $4.99

Endgame issue #36 features an exclusive variant cover created for Loot Crate. Artwork by Greg Capullo. I love comic books (although mainly Japanese manga), and it's always nice to own a version with exclusive cover artwork.

Crunchy Roll Promo

Product: One-Month Free Trial for CrunchyRoll
Retail Value: $6.95

This is a one-month free trial offer for CrunchyRoll. We subscribe to Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO GO, so I'm not sure we need another subscription as we don't have as much time to watch TV/movies/anime as we used to. We'll probably pass on the offer to someone who's interested. There is also a mini candy cane (mine came broken).

ProductsRetail Value
Exclusive The Joker-Batman Batman POP! Vinyl Figure (Funko) $11.99
Men's Simpsons Cast Mighty Wallet (DynoMighty) $14.99
Exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy Dancing Groot Crew Socks (HYP Hosiery) $9.99
Exclusive Ghostbusters Door Hanger (Quantum Mechanix) $1.00
Tetris Sticker Set (Paladone) $7.99
Captain America Air Freshener (PlastiColor) $2.69
Batman Endgame #36 (DC Comics, Exclusive Variant Cover) $4.99
One-Month Free Trial for CrunchyRoll $6.95
Total $60.59

Final Thoughts: The Loot Crate subscription is one of hubby's Christmas presents, but I was also very excited to receive this particular box because of the spoilers. We like majority of the items included, especially exclusive products like Joker-Batman Batman figure and the Dancing Baby Groot socks. The box has a value of $60.59 based on both retail prices and estimates. The only disappointment is the Ghostbusters door hanger since it was one of the main titles that was revealed before the box shipped. With that said, I really enjoyed this box overall. The December 2014 Loot Crate box is well curated and the anniversary theme is fitting for the end of the year.
