The June BeautyFIX box is all about being prepared for the summer, so they included items that focus on sun protection. Although I don't spend a lot of time in the sun (mainly because I sit in an office all day), I still get plenty of exposure to UV rays where I live.

Product: Paula's Choice Sun 365 Self-Tanning Concentrate

Although I don't use any tanning products, this 365 Self-Tanning Concentrate seems pretty neat. You blend this into your moisturizer and it can be applied to the face or body. It provides an even tone and you can control the amount of tan. Use as little or as much as you like! If I was into tanning, I would definitely want to use something like this.

This is an amber- and cedarwood-scented shaving cream that lubricates and moisturizes the skin. I am not sure why there's a men's shave cream in a women's beauty box. Perhaps they intend this to be used as a Father's Day gift, which is actually a good idea.

I love tinted moisturizers that evens skin tone that also works as a sunscreen. This moisturizer has an oil-free formula with natural SPF of 20 without any harsh chemical UV filters. The card indicates Nude, which means everyone received the same shade.
Product: La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid (0.1 oz)

This sunscreen is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and can be used on sensitive skin. Like the name suggests, it is in a liquid form. You need to shake it well before use. I noticed that the side of the box says, "Not for sale. For aesthetic purposes only. Quantity not sufficient for sunscreen protection." With only 0.1 oz, I figured it wasn't going to be enough. I would've preferred a sample to at least have a full one-time use.
Product: Wei Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask (0.3 oz x1)

The full-size box comes with 8 single application pods for $42. This mud mask is formulated with seven herbs led by Golden Root that deeply penetrate into skin and help counteract cell damage. It minimizes pores, diminishes breakouts, refines skin texture, and renews lifeless-looking skin. In addition, it is formulated without parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. The mask tingles and tightens when dried similar to other mud masks I've tried. My face feels nice and clean afterward. My pores also looks smaller! It has great reviews on retailer sites.
Product: Skinceuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 (0.13 oz)

The little sample tube doesn't say how much ounces it contains, but a similar sized sample from the box indicates 0.13 oz, so I used that amount to calculate the value. This sunscreen has a matte finish and is advertised to maintain the finish even in hot, humid conditions. It's another small sample, so I'm not sure if there's enough for a single application.
Product: Hydropeptide Solar Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30 (0.13 oz)
Retail Value: $3.36
This sunscreen self-adjusts to your skin tone and has anti-aging properties. That’s pretty amazing, but I am sad that it’s a tiny sample. I’ll have to try hard to get a one time use out of it, but I doubt it’s enough to help me decide if I want to buy the full-size version.
Product: Oscar Blandi Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray

I've been getting a lot of dry shampoos in subscription boxes lately. I am starting to realize that they don't really work for me. My hair looks and feels the same after applying it, so there's no point in using it. However, it's pretty awesome that Dermstore included a full-size Oscar Blandi dry shampoo. I'm sure I can give it away to someone who finds it useful.

The iS cleansing complex has great reviews. According to user feedback, it seems to be very effective for acne prone skin. This cleanser cleans without stripping essential natural oils, and gently resurfaces and removes dead skin cells.
Product: Roloxin Lift Revitalizing Facial Treatment (0.07 oz x2)
Retail Value: $10.50
This is an instant skin smoothing mask that helps reduce wrinkles, fine lines, pores and dullness. The results last up to 24 hours. I can't believe 0.14 oz of this stuff comes out to $10.50. It's barely enough for an one-time application! If anyone has used this on a more regular basis, let us know how it worked out for you.
Product: Arcona Cranberry Toner (1 oz)

The Arcona Cranberry Toner is not alcohol based. This three-in-one toner cleanses, tones, and hydrates through antioxidant rich botanicals and rice milk. It is formulated without harsh chemicals or preservatives, which is always a plus. It can also be used as a makeup remover. Reviewers mention that this toner works well for people with sensitive skin. It smells literally like cranberry and rice milk when you first open the cap, and turns into more of a sweet fragrance after application. It does take a little longer to dry than alcohol based toner, but it works well and doesn't dry out the skin.

Final Thoughts: BeautyFIX has amazing value for a $25 subscription. There are four full-size and two deluxe-size items. Although some of the samples are probably free, I still gave it dollar value based on the amount to be fair. I will use most of the products included except for the men's shaving cream (for obvious reasons) and the self-tanner. However, they can easily be gifted or passed onto someone who will enjoy it more.
