Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Anchor Decal (Personalize It)

Product: Anchor Decal (Personalize It)

This is a fun little decal for the summer months. The artist is on instagram as Personalize_It, so I found the pricing there.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Cupcakes (Cuddle Cups)

Product: Cupcakes (Cuddle Cups)
Retail Value: $3.00

This handmade cupcake is super adorable, and has many uses. I love that you can use it as a pin cushion since I happen to need one.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Soap Samples (Nat's Naturals)

Product: Soap Samples (Nat's Naturals)
Retail Value: $2.40

I couldn't find information on how big the sample is, so I am assuming it's about two ounces. According to the description, all soaps are handcrafted in small batches using the Cold Process Method. The recipe is 100% vegan with a blend of olive oil, coconut oil, sustainable palm oil, and shea butter. Although I am not a huge lavender fan (contrary to many people), the scent is not overpowering.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Gypsy Soap Samples (L'Aura Botanicals)

Product: Gypsy Soap Samples (L'Aura Botanicals)
Retail Value: $0.92

This mini Gypsy soap is composed of essential oils of Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Bergamot and a hint of Black Pepper. The fragrance is pleasant. If you order from L'Aura Botanicals, the package comes with six of them. It's great as a party favor!

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Mini Notebooks (Sew In Origami)

Product: Mini Notebooks (Sew In Origami)

When I first saw this, I was thinking origami paper because of the name. Then I realized it was a little notepad after I opened it. It's small and can easily be carried around in a purse. I can give it to my mom since she likes to jot down notes.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Charms (Pretty Peace Of Paper)

I love this little charm, and I love that it's pink. Everything on the charm is made of recycled, sustainable, and environmentally safe materials. It's perfect for hanging on cellphones, purses, and etc. There are more options available on the Pretty Peace Of Paper etsy shop.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Tulle Bow Clips (Sweet & Sassy)

Product: Tulle Bow Clips (Sweet & Sassy)
Retail Value: $6.00

This bow is super cute! Too bad I don't have a little girl to put it on. If I was a couple decades younger, I would totally wear this.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Gift Tags (Studio SL2)

Product: Gift Tags (Studio SL2)
Retail Value: $2.00

This is a really neat gift tag. I don't think I want to give it away! It is stained wood and hand branded. You can write on it using pencil, ballpoint pen, permanent marker, chalk, or a china marker.

Boxometry July 2015 The Crafty Mail Review - Glitter Mason Jar (CraftyCousinsSC)

Product: Glitter Mason Jar (CraftyCousinsSC)

The Glitter Mason Jar is from the creator of The Crafty Mail. It actually came in a separate package. For the launch box, all of the subscribers received a custom jar. You can select the glitter color, along with the font style of your initials and text color. I just realized the colors I chose matches Boxometry. This mason jar is cute and useful!

Final Thoughts: In terms of a handcraft subscription, this is a great launch box. The philosophy behind The Crafty Mail is to support independent artists, creators, and small business owners. There are a variety of artists represented, and you get to sample a little bit of everything. I think it would also be fun to have a monthly theme. Overall, this is a well curated box, has good value (just over $51), and supports small businesses. Also, if you are subscribed, don't forget to hashtag #thecraftymail and the makers to win your next box for free!
