Gamer Girl Monthly Subscription Review - July 2015

Boxometry Gamer Girl Monthly July 2015 Review - Box

Gamer Girl Monthly is a new subscription service that sends you game related jewelry and accessories each month. This is one of the few subscription boxes geared towards female geeks and gamers. Each month, the box is curated based on a theme and contains $20 - $30 worth of products. July's theme is "power up."

One thing to note is that Gamer Girl Monthly created a new custom box this month (pictured above). It's smaller than the one from last month, and everything fit much better without too much empty space.

Please note that this box was kindly sent to us for review purposes. No compensation was received, and all opinions are my own.

Category: Geeks and Gamers

What's Included: 3-4 game related jewelry and accessories.

Boxometry Gamer Girl Monthly July 2015 Review - Custom-made Power Button Earrings

Product: Custom-made Power Button Earrings
Retail Value: $8.99 (Estimated)

These power button earrings are awesome, and very appropriate for the theme. Since they are custom made for the box, I couldn't find the exact same ones on sale. I found a pair on Amazon.com that's somewhat similar, so I based the retail value on the listed price.

Boxometry Gamer Girl Monthly July 2015 Review - Super Mario Fire Flower Plush Keychain

Product: Super Mario Fire Flower Plush Keychain
Retail Value: $7.97 (Estimated)

This is a cute and soft Fire Flower plush keychain. You can also hang it backpacks or purses.

Boxometry Gamer Girl Monthly July 2015 Review - Mario Coin Candies in Question Block Tin

Product: Mario Coin Candies in Question Block Tin
Retail Value: $2.99

The box contains 1.2 oz of strawberry sour candies. I don't care much for the candy itself, but I love the tin box!

Boxometry Gamer Girl Monthly July 2015 Review - Sailor Moon Wand Necklace

Product: Sailor Moon Wand Necklace
Retail Value: $5.99

Yay! A Sailor Moon item! I think someone needs to create a Sailor Moon subscription box soon. I'm very excited about this jewelry piece, and I like the silver tone. Again, I couldn't find this item on sale anywhere except eBay, so the price is based on the auction price.

ProductsRetail Value
Custom-made Power Button Earrings $8.99
Super Mario Fire Flower Plush Keychain $7.97
Mario Coin Candies in Question Block Tin $2.99
Sailor Moon Wand Necklace $5.99
Total $23.64

Final Thoughts: There's a little more variety in this box compared to the launch box. All of the items are well curated based on the theme. I really enjoyed the Sailor Moon necklace since I rarely see Sailor Moon items in subscription boxes. It's one of my all time favorite manga and anime series. Even though some parts of the story seem rather silly now that I am older, but it definitely makes me nostalgic and I remember how much I loved it (and still do). Overall, this is a great second box.
